SlovSEFF III is a mechanism for financing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Developent, in partnership with Spain and Slovakia to promote sustainable energy. The facility has funds of 40 million euros (www.slovseff.eu).

As leaders of the SlovSEFF III consultancy team, we are responsible for ensuring the smooth running and success of the initiative through our technical and methodological supporting services, communications services, training for its various participants (companies, banks and so on) and management of the international team of experts.

In particular, the main actions we undertake within the context of the project consist of specifying the main technical criteria for the functioning of the mechanism, identifying and evaluating any projects that may be able to receive finance through a customised assessment. To this end, we carry out energy audits and assist with calculating the reduced GHG emissions. Furthermore, we develop training programmes for the participating financial organisations, as well as other relevant groups. Other issues include designing the marketing plan for the initiative, and the various communications actions (events, web site and news, among others). Finally, we are analysing the future of the initiative based on self-financing, through funds associated with action against climate change.
