The AEEE is a Spanish association, subsidiary of the International Association for Energy Economics. Founded as a non-profit association in 2004, it is composed of a large group of professionals from the academic sector, as well as from the business sector and the administration related to energy economics.

The main objective of the association is to generate economic debates, bring together professionals in energy economics in the same space, disseminate knowledge in this field and work on research in line with the business sector. To this end, it develops different activities, including its annual academic congress, a map of researchers at a national level, several technical conferences, and a newsletter of journals and partners.
