Factor surpasses one million tons of CO2 in offsets

11 March 2019 | CO2

Reducing the emissions associated with an activity, product, organization or event is a complex task and, although many efforts are made, achieving carbon neutrality is an almost impossible task. For this reason, organizations are increasingly betting on offsetting emissions with Factor CO2.

Thanks to the trust and initiatives developed by our clients in their effort to be more sustainable and achieve carbon neutrality, both in the framework of their carbon footprints and in international initiatives such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Factor has managed to offset more than one million tonnes of CO2.

These offsets have been made through renewable energy projects, energy efficiency, avoided deforestation, use of waste and biomass, among others, in various countries such as Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, Chile, China, India, Kenya, and so on.

In Factor, we firmly believe in GHG emissions offset as a mechanism of great impact on environmental improvement and sustainability for organizations.  This mechanism must be developed through projects covered by prestigious reference standards such as the UNFCCC with its projects under the CDM, or through the Voluntary Carbon Standard. Thanks to these certifications of the projects we work with, we are able to offer organizations transparent and reliable emissions offset service.

Factor has 15 years of experience offering technical consultancy services in the fields of adaptation and mitigation to climate change, carbon footprint, offset, sustainability, circular economy, among others, for governments and international organizations, as well as for more than 400 companies.
